Skua (Stercorarius sp.) - taken off the coast of Swakopmund, Namibia (Africa),
This is our boat guide feeding a skua by hand. I also got a chance to hold out a fish as the skua dove past and grabbed it.
It amuses me that we went out of our way to feed the skuas while in Africa but when in Antarctica they are the evil nemesis. Its all about the context!
