Grey Treefrog

Description

I come across a lot of frogs when I go out to collect insects at night. It makes sense - they are there for the same reason I am! Most of them don't move - banking on the fact that their color and/or cryptic patterning will keep you from seeing them ... not realizing that it doesn't work on pavement.

I am not sure exactly what species this is but I think it might be a grey treefrog (Hyla chrysoscelis or Hyla versicolor).

Confirmed. :D
This is indeed a gray tree frog. The only real differences I know of between the two are that they have different vocalizations and different numbers of chromosomes... Plus I think Hyla versicolor has a more northern range, while the other is more southern.
Probably need to check a guide about that, but this is indeed a gray tree frog. :)
